3、svirus(IBV)weredetermined.Thesewerecomparedwithpreviouslypublishedsequenc-ingdataofotherIBVstrains,aswellasothercoronaviruses,inordertocorrelatetheserologicalandevolutionaryrelationshipofcoronaviruses.IBVnucleotidesequencealignmentshowsthatoverallthesequencesarehighlyconserved,withh
4、omologiesfrom91.1to96.5%.However,therearealsotworegions(730to800and1138to1166)thatappeartobeevenmorehighlyconserved.Overall,thenucleocapsidproteinishighlyvariablebothinsizeandcompositionbetweencoronavirusmajorantigenicgroupsbutisconservedwithinthesegroups.Aphylogenetictreeofthenucle
