4、ONandDAVIES,8),includingAustrMia(11,12).However,therehavebeenreportsfromonlytwolaboratoriesontheirgrowthinorganorcellculture(3,6),andthisinabilitytobereadilygrownhasseverelyhinderedtheircharacterizationandgeneralacceptanceasinfectiousagents,particularlyinthecaseoftheso-cMledCVLPs.The
5、irassociationwithdiarrhoeainacausalrolehasbeensuggestedbynumerousworkers(3,4,5,6,7,13),buttheirexcretionbymanyapparentlyhealthyindividualsinsomeinstances(t,7,9,11,12)hasleadtosomedoubtabouttheroleofCVLPsinentericdisease,particularlyinadults.Arecentreport(5)has,however,suggestedananti
