3、lineinfectiousperitonitisvirus(FIPV)to7otherhumanandanimalcoronaviruseswasstudied.FIPVwasfoundtobecloselyrelatedtotransmissiblegastroenteritisvirus(TGEV)ofswine.TransmissiblegastroenteritisvirusandFIPVwereinturnantigenicallyrelatedtohumaneoronavirus229E(I-ICV-229E
4、)andcaninecoronavirus(CCV).Aninterestingfindinginthestudywasthatthe8eoronavirusesselectedforthisstudyfellintooneoftwoanti-genicallydistinctgroups.Virusesineachgroupwereantigenieallyrelatedtoeachothertovaryingdegrees,butwereantigenicallyunrelatedtocoronavirusesofth
5、esecondgroup.Thefirstantigenicallyrelatedgroupwascomprisedofmousehepa-titisvirus,type3(MI-IV-3),hemeagglutinatingencephalomyelitisvirus67N(HEV-67N)ofswine,calfdiarrheacoronavirus(CDCV),andhumancoronavirusOC43(HCV-OC43).Thesecondantigenicallyrelatedgroupwascomprise
